As the company continues to grow and innovate, BOS Innovations needed someone who specialized in robotic innovation, sales and marketing, and could oversee their new warehouse in Kentucky as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This position would lead BOS Innovations’ growth strategy across North America by uniting sales and marketing under a shared vision for expansion and brand excellence. The VP would provide strategic direction for sales performance, market development, and brand positioning while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across both teams. The individual taking on this position would be:

  • Experienced leader in industrial automation or manufacturing.
  • Strong background in business development, sales, and marketing strategy.
  • Skilled at building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Technically savvy in automation, robotics, and custom solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, and results-driven.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder.

Strategy and timing

BOS Innovations’ search was entrusted to Executive Search Consultant Eric Albert, who has been with Vanderbloemen since 2018 and has helped countless organizations find exceptional leaders. Joining him on the project was Senior Executive Search Recruiter Will Hancock, whose keen attention to detail and engaging personality make him a strong collaborator. Having already completed multiple successful searches together, Eric and Will brought their proven teamwork to this engagement and presented BOS Innovations with an outstanding slate of eight highly qualified candidates. Among them, one stood out above the rest—Clark Cornelius.

Already residing in Lexington, KY, with massive amounts of experience in robotics and sales and being outspoken about his faith, finding Clark was like finding a diamond in the rough! Clark Cornelius stood out during his interview with CEO Ben Huigenbos and landed the role thanks to his experience and strong presentation.
