Strategy and timing
When Makua Lani Christian Academy decided to reach out to Vanderbloemen to aid the search for their new Head of School, Executive Search Consultant Chantel McHenry was assigned the case. With years of experience on the team at Vanderbloemen and countless successful searches completed, Chantel was more than capable to lead this search in such a unique location. Joining Chantel was Executive Search Recruiter Ellie Mixon, a great recruiter with an excellent track record. The two ladies worked together to produce a slate of nine highly-qualified candidates. Makua Lani Christian Academy was then able to narrow this group down to a top four. These top four candidates had the opportunity to visit Kailua-Kona, HI, for an invaluable site-visit at the school. One of these four candidates made a stellar impression, and as a result, was offered the position: Josh Drexler.

Josh Drexler was a frontrunner for the position at Makua Lani Christian Academy, and with his experience, passion, and well-rounded strengths it was clear to see why. He is a strong believer, a consensus builder, and leads relationally in every aspect. Josh is also a strategic thinker, planner, and executor.
